Some paintings sit and wait to be completed. One of the large canvases I painted during my research has never felt finished. Recent additions to it threw my imagination into lizard mode. I found dragons and crocodiles everywhere. I also discovered Akhilanda.
Akhilanda means 'never-not-broken'. In the form of a goddess Akhilanda rides a crocodile. Crocodiles grab their prey in their jaws but their greatest threat is not in their powerful jaws but in their movement. They spin. The crocodile is master of disorientation.
I am spinning.
